BISHKIK: The situation at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border of the Batken region continues to be tense as reports the Department of Information and Communications of the Border Guard Service of the State Committee of National Security (SCNS) of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Tajik military servants have occupied a school building in the Dostuk village of the Batken region.

They open fire from the localities along the border villages, thereby causing retaliatory fire on their positions.

Using the local population as human shields, the Tajik side suffers heavy civilian casualties.

During the armed conflict at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in the Batken region, units of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic carried out a fire strike on the ‘Lyakkan’ and ‘Bogdari’ border posts of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic and destroyed a significant amount of heavy equipment of the Tajik side.

Personnel of the Border Guard Service of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic continue to fight pitched battles, take adequate measures during the changing situation, and use modern weapons and equipment to force the enemy to cease fire.
