BC hosts farewell reception for CTO Sarfraz Virk, Warm Welcome for CTO Kainat

ISLAMABAD, 16  JUN (DNA) —    A graceful dinner reception was organized in Islamabad by prominent business leaders in honor of outgoing Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, and to warmly welcome the newly appointed CTO Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan. The event brought together the leadership of Islamabad and Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce, presidents of various markets, representatives of the business community, and senior police officials. The dinner was hosted by Ahsan Bakhtawari, former President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and CEO of D. Watson Group.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, Ahsan Bakhtawari extended a warm welcome to Kainat Azhar Khan and appreciated the remarkable services rendered by Muhammad Sarfraz Virk during his tenure as CTO Islamabad. He said that Virk maintained excellent coordination with the business community and played an important role in resolving traffic and market-related issues, particularly in commercial centers and business areas of Islamabad.

Ahsan Bakhtawari stated that the presence of presidents and representatives of various markets at the gathering reflected the strong relationship between the police administration and the business community. He expressed hope that Kainat Azhar Khan would continue the same spirit of cooperation and public service for the facilitation of traders and citizens. He also thanked Mir Waiz Khan for gracing the occasion and highly appreciated the valuable contributions and services of Jameel Hashmi for the welfare and betterment of the business community.

Chairman Founder Group, Sheikh Tariq Sadiq, while addressing the gathering, thanked Ahsan Bakhtawari for organizing the reception and bringing together the business community and police leadership on one platform. He termed such engagements highly important for strengthening understanding and cooperation between stakeholders.

Speaking on the occasion, former CTO Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk said that the business community is the backbone of the national economy and there has always been a strong two-way relationship between the police administration and traders. He said that during his tenure, he sincerely tried to provide the best possible services and solutions to the traders and citizens. He assured that he would continue extending his support and cooperation to the business community whenever needed in the future as well. Virk also expressed confidence in the capabilities of incoming CTO Kainat Azhar Khan and hoped that she would continue serving the city with dedication and professionalism.

Addressing the participants, Kainat Azhar Khan thanked the organizers and the business community for the warm welcome accorded to her. She said that effective traffic management and public facilitation require mutual cooperation between the administration and citizens. She expressed hope that the business community would fully cooperate with her in carrying out her responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

Saif ur Rehman Khan, Chairman Police Committee ICCI, appreciated the dedication and services of police officers and acknowledged the important role played by Islamabad Police in maintaining law and order and facilitating citizens. He congratulated Kainat Azhar Khan on assuming the charge of CTO Islamabad and assured her of complete cooperation from the business community and market associations.

Chairman Group Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sohail Altaf, also congratulated Kainat Azhar Khan on her appointment and said that the business leadership has great expectations from her. He remarked that the business community is law-abiding and always supports initiatives aimed at improving civic management and public convenience.

The event was conducted by Yousaf Rajput, President Blue Area Traders Association, who highly acknowledged the participation of the business community leaders, chamber representatives, and police officers, and emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the Police and Business Community. — DNA
