ISLAMABAD, AUG 4 /DNA/ – At a farewell reception hosted in honor of the outgoing Head of Press and Political Section of the French Embassy, Sokrarith Henry, Ambassador of France to Pakistan Nicolas Galey underscored France’s unwavering support for freedom of expression and the protection of human rights, describing them as the “main pillars of democracy.”

The reception, attended by close friends of Henry from the media and diplomatic community, highlighted the strong ties cultivated between the French Embassy and Pakistan’s press fraternity during Henry’s tenure. Ambassador Galey praised Henry for his dedication and for building excellent relations with journalists and media professionals across the country. Ambassador Galey also mentioned that journalist Asad Ali Toor was unable to attend the reception due to his scheduled appearance before the National Council of Cyber Investigations and Accountability (NCCIA).
