Pakistan extends suspension of domestic flights until May 13

ISLAMABAD, MAY 10 –  Pakistan has extended suspension of domestic flights until May 13, its Civil Aviation Authority said Sunday. A formal NOTAM has been issued by the CAA director for air transport in this regard. The suspension was previously extended until May 10. Domestic flights in the country have been suspended since March 26. The measure was one of the several aimed at stopping the coronavirus spread. However, the CAA said special flights and chartered planes are exempted from the restriction.


Citizens qualifying for Ehsaas Programme to receive confirmation next week

People waiting to hear back regarding their registration status for the Ehsaas Cash Programme will receive a message in the upcoming week, according to a programme announcement. Complete lockdown in Sindh every Friday, Saturday and Sunday: govt

There will be a complete lockdown in Sindh every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout May, the provincial government has decided. The home department issued on Sunday a notification regarding businesses, markets and public places that may or may not stay open during the month. Community markets and retail outlets will remain open from 8am to 4pm. All shopping malls, educational institutes, wedding halls, cinemas and public places will remain closed until May 31, according to the notification. Wuhan reports first new case in weeks

Wuhan, the Chinese city where the coronavirus outbreak started, has reported its first new case of Covid-19 for more than a month. The case is one of 14 new infections reported by China’s National Health Commission.
