“Woman in Vision 2030:” Janadriyah seminar on Saturday

RIYADH, (DNA) – As part of the cultural activities of the 33rd National Festival for Heritage and Culture (Janadriyah – 33), two seminars will be held at King Faisal Hall of Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel on Saturday.

The first one focuses on the remarkable achievements of prominent Saudi figures who were honored by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman during the opening ceremony on Thursday.

They included Dr. Ali Al-Dafaa; Abdul Fattah Abu Madiyan and Samar Bint Jaber Al-Hamoud. The King decorated them with the King Abdulaziz Medal of the First Class in honor of their outstanding contributions in various fields.

The theme of the second seminar is “Woman in Vision 2030” during which Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Tamader Al-Rammah will present a working paper on “Efforts of the Labor Ministry in qualifying and empowering woman.”

The seminar will also deal with topics such as “Saudi woman and international agreements;” “Woman and labor market: Opportunities and training fields;” and “Efforts of Saudi Aramco in qualifying and empowering woman.” Shoura Council member Dr. Fauziyah Abalkhail will be the moderator.

A seminar on “Saudi – Indonesian relations: Horizons and Aspirations” will be held at the hotel on Sunday. Several prominent figures, including Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia Osama Al-Shuaibi, and Indonesian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Agus Maftuh Abegebriel, will address the event.

Working papers on topics such as deep-rooted Saudi Indonesia relations and their development, and prospects of bilateral economic relations and their development will be presented. “Jerusalem: the key of peace for the Arab Israeli conflict is the theme of the seminar which is scheduled to be held on Monday. Several other seminars and poetic evenings will be held as part of the three-week festival.

Meanwhile, large number of people flocked to the Janadriyah when the heritage village was open for the public on Friday. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth flow of traffic and there are shuttle bus services to and fro between Riyadh city and Janadriyah, located in the northern outskirts of the capital city.

The Ministry of National Guard is organizing the festival whose theme is “Faithfulness and loyalty.” King Salman inaugurated the pavilions of Indonesia, the guest of honor country, as well as that of Tabuk and Al-Jouf regions on the opening day. Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, emir of Riyadh, opened Friday the pavilions of Al-Kharj and Al-Ghat governorates.

Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Sultan, emir of the Northern Border Region, opened the pavilion of the region at the festival village. Gen. Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, the military chief of staff, toured the pavilion of the Ministry of Defense at Janadriyah on Friday.
