Former Army Chief visits grave of Major Shabbir Sharif
LAHORE, DEC 06, (DNA) – A ceremony was held to pay respects to Major Shabbir Sharif who laid down his life for the country in the 1971 war, 46 years ago.
Former chief of Army Staff General (retd) Raheel Sharif with his family attended the ceremony held at the Miani Sahib Graveyard.
The former Army Chief met army officials present at the ceremony.
A smartly dressed contingent of the armed forces paid salute to the martyr.
General Officer Commanding Major General Fida Hussain Malik was chief guest on the occasion, who laid floral wreath and offered fateha on the Shaheed’s grave.
Former Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif along with his wife also laid floral wreath and offered Fateha on the Mazar.=DNA
