Pakistan, OIC jointly holds conference against Islamophobia

NEW YORK, 05 FEB (DNA) – A conference was conducted jointly by Pakistan and Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) in the United Nations (UN) against increasing Islamophobia in the world.
Pakistan has voiced serious concern over the increasing hate crimes targeting Muslims in the West. At a Pak-sponsored event in the United Nations, Pakistan s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi stressed the need for unity among Muslims as they build bridges to other religious communities through stepped up interaction.
She said interfaith cooperation is the way to bring about a harmonious environment and peaceful conditions. She called for dialogue among leaders and dialogue among religious communities to end the rising tide of religious and ethnic discrimination and bias incident. DNA
