KARACHI, SEPT 18 (DNA) – The protesting students and teachers have a face-off with the administration of Karachi’s Aisha Bawany College (Monday) over refusal to reopen the institution.

The future of as many as 1050 students is at stake as the trust administration didn’t reopen the college because of delay in the court’s restraining order.

The situation became worst when the students and instructors staged demonstration and chanted slogans against the management. The students also tried to hold sit-in at Shahrah-e-Faisal but police refrained them and issued warning to take stern action.

Earlier on Saturday, Sindh High Court (SHC) suspended civil judge’s order to seal Aisha Bawany College and ordered to reopen the institution till September 23.

The dispute erupted between Aisha Bawany Trust and education department over non-payment of Rs 50,000 per month as rent which had accumulated to Rs8,400,000.
