US, Russia stress to increase mutual cooperation despite serious differences
WASHINGTON: The United States and Russia have stressed to increase mutual cooperation despite serious differences.
Talking to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Reykjavik on the sidelines of an Arctic Council meeting, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the world would be safer if the two countries’ leaders work together.
On his part, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the talks are constructive and the two diplomats would prepare proposals for a possible meeting between US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
