Japan govt through FAO supports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Locust Control in the province

Militants kill 14 soldiers in Burkina Faso raid

Suspected Islamist militants have killed 14 soldiers in northern Burkina Faso. Seven other soldiers were wounded in the attack near the town of Yirgou, early on Monday. The defence ministry said a counter attack was launched that killed several insurgents. In June, at least 15 police officers were ambushed and killed in Yirgou. Islamist militants have displaced more than a million people in Burkina Faso, while many more across the Sahel region of Africa live under the threat of their violence.

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar says the PTI government believes in progress of all areas of the country. Talking to members of the Punjab Assembly, he stressed the need for team work to serve people of the province. Dengue prevention activities intensified across Punjab: Imran Sikandar

Lahore : On the directions of Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Imran Sikandar Baloch, dengue prevention activities have been intensified across Punjab. In a statement issued in Lahore on Tuesday, he said health department is conducting operations across the province to eradicate dengue larva and its breeding. Imran Sikandar Baloch said that so far 2,587 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported from across province. He said 170 dengue patients are admitted in Lahore’s hospitals.
