Strong regional and international cooperation vital to combating Desert Locust in Pakistan and beyond

    At a briefing to the diplomatic community by the National Locust Control Centre (NLCC), today, in Islamabad, Pakistan underlined that strong regional and international cooperative mechanisms are vital to addressing the serious threat posed by Desert Locusts to the food security of Pakistan and the region. SC directs govt to take immediate steps to ensure travelling by train becomes safe

State Bank announces new bank timings

KARACHI: All banks across the country will stay open from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Thursday. According to a circular put out by the central bank, the new timings will be effective from July 13 till further orders.
