Senior journalist killed in KP’s Tank district
TANK: A local journalist Dr Muhammad Zaman Mehsud was killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his vehicle in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday. Police told media that Zaman was travelling from Gomal Bazar to Tank when his car came under attack on North Waziristan Road. Two motorcycle-riding armed men opened fire on his car and left him seriously injured. Woman dies in Multan after being set ablaze for refusing ‘proposal’
MULTAN: A young woman died on Tuesday after a rejected suitor set her ablaze for refusing his marriage proposal, a doctor said. Sonia Bibi, 20, was admitted to hospital last month, where she told police that her former lover Latif Ahmed had doused her with petrol and set her alight after she turned down his proposal. Shaheen Air plane crash landing at Lahore airport injures 10
LAHORE: At least 10 passengers were injured as the tyre of a domestic Shaheen Air International flight burst during an emergency landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday. The Karachi-Lahore flight NL-142 was carrying more than a hundred passengers, airport sources say. Shaheen Airlines flies four flights from Karachi to Lahore daily.
