UAE Embassy, IDC Organize Breast Awareness Program
Islamabad, OCT 15 /DNA/ – The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Islamic Republic of Pakistanin partnership with Islamabad Diagnostic Center launched an awareness and preventive campaign for breast cancer to promote health awareness and empowerment of community through provision of 50% discount on breast cancer diagnostics including xray mammography for the month of october, 2021 at IDC to enhance community support services.
The eventto support Pink Ribbon campaign for Breast Cancer Awarenesswas attended by a large number of people alongwith the representatives of the attached offices and the employees of the Embassy and senior officials of IDC.
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi inaugurated the event with ribbon cutting followed by his address on the importance of breast cancer awareness amongst women globally.
H.E expressed his solidarity and seriousness in raising awareness about the timely detection and protection from breast cancer. H.E quoted “UAE Embassy and IDC will join hands to support such awareness initiatives in future as well.”
Dr. RizwanUppal, CEO IDC expressed his sincere gratitude to H.E and the Embassy of UAE for this joint collaboration to support Pink Ribbon initiative. He said ” The only ray of hope for curing breast cancer lies in early detection’.
