SC restores Mumtaz Qadri’s death penalty by ATC
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday restored the conviction of Mumtaz Qadri — the killer of former Punjab governor Salman Taseer — by an Anti Terrorism Court. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa dismissed the appeal filed by the by Mumtaz Qadri challenging the Islamabad High Court’s decision to hand him the death sentence.
