President of Belarus arrives in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived Islamabad on Thursday on two-day state visit to Pakistan at the invitation of the President Mamnoon Hussain.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif welcomed the visiting dignitary at Nur Khan Airbase.
Twenty-one gun salute was presented to the President of Belarus as his plane landed at the Airbase.
Two children wearing traditional dress presented flowers to the visiting dignitary.
This will be the first ever visit by a Belarusian President to Pakistan.

During the visit, the Belarusian President will hold meetings with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
A number of important agreements and Memoranda of Understanding are expected to be signed during the visit.
Belarus established its resident Mission in Islamabad in November last year.
President Lukashenko’s visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between the two countries. =DNA
