President calls for addressing issues being faced by residents of Isb

ISLAMABAD, 11 APR (DNA) – President Mamnoon Hussain has stressed the need for planning to address the issues being faced by residents of Islamabad.
He was talking to Mayor of Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation Sheikh Ansar Aziz who called on him Monday.
President Mamnoon Hussain said that for the first time in Islamabad’s history governance has been transferred to the grass root level and said that measures must be taken to further enhance the beauty of Islamabad.
The President directed the Mayor to devise a practicable mechanism to solve the issue of illegal settlements and slum areas in Islamabad. The President expressed his confidence in the Mayor of Islamabad and hoped that the newly elected Mayor will evolve an effective setup to serve the people in the best manner. DNA
