On the run for years, Rangers finally nab Uzair Baloch

KARACHI, 30 JAN (DNA) – Lyari gang-war leader Uzair Baloch who had previously arrested in the Middle East was arrested by the Sindh Rangers paramilitary force on the outskirts of Karachi.
The Rangers spokesman claimed on Saturday that Baloch was nabbed while entering the port city. Uzair Baloch had fled the country following the launch of an operation in Karachi against criminal elements back in 2013.
Whil Baloch had been arrested in the UAE, Pakistan was unable to seek repatriation following which Baloch was set free and went missing in April last year. The gang-war leader was wanted by the law enforcers for involvement in murders, attempted murders, kidnapping for ransom, extortion, drug dealing, gambling and multiple other heinous crimes.
While the Pakistani government had issued red warrants to arrest Baloch, he was eventually declared arrested a day after the Federal Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar Ali Khan telephoned the DG Rangers Sindh and discussed the ongoing operation in the port city. DNA
