Kenyan envoy hosts reception to welcome Sudanese ambassador
ISLAMABAD, NOV 07 (DNA) –Professor Julius Bitok, High Commissioner of Kenyan hosted a reception to welcome the Ambassador of Sudan who has recently arrived in Pakistan to assume charge of his office.
Ambassador Bitok in his brief remarks welcomed the ambassador and assured him of his fullest support during his stay in Pakistan.
The Kenyan high commissioner said, he was posted in Sudan before coming to Pakistan therefore he attached great importance to relations with Sudan.
He also thanked the diplomatic community for attending his reception. He especially thanked Tasawar Khan Additional Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Kenyan high commissioner also briefly touched upon some salient features of Kenya, Pakistan relations adding during his tenure as high commissioner he will try his best to further cement these relations.
He said Kenyan tea is consumed in Pakistan abundantly. He is trying to further diversify relations between the two countries as there existed a great scope in this regard.
The high commissioner also assured to take cultural relations to new heights. Likewise promotion of people to people contacts was also high on his agenda. DNA
