ISLAMABAD, FEB 07 (DNA)-, Former information minister and senior PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said he will accept Presidentship of Punjab PPP if offered.While talking exclusively to DNA on Sunday the PPP leader said ostensibly PPP was passing through a difficult time these days. Being a central information secretary of the party was itself a daunting task nevertheless in the larger interest of the party he will accept the post of Punjab president if he was asked to do so, he added.

Qamar Zaman Kaira further said, the economic situation of the country was much better in the time of PPP. Now those people who used to criticize PPP for what they believed bad governance, are now left with no option but eat a humble pie as the incumbent government has miserably failed to deliver the goods.

The former information minister further said a nominal cut in the fuel prices was in fact a joke with the people of Pakistan. The oil prices in the world market have witnessed a slump but unfortunately the benefit of decrease in oil prices was not extended to the people.

He asked the government to provide immediate relief to people adding government should focus on ameliorating the lot of the downtrodden.= DNA
