Kabul: 09 soldiers, 29 militants killed in operations
KABUL, 02 JULY (DNA) – At least nine soldiers have been killed and 29 militants killed in newest military operations across the country, Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday.
A statement issued by the ministry states that the nine Afghan National Army soldiers lost lives to militant fire and landmine explosions in past 24 hours. The statement, however, does not contain information about the exact location of the incidents.
The statement further states that 29 militants have been killed and 16 others wounded in military operations conducted in 12 provinces also in past 24 hours.
Six suspects were also detained by the security forces during these operations, the statement adds. According to the statement, security force have also seized light and heavy weapons and defused Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) but it does not contact a specific number for them. DNA
