LAHORE, AUG 10 (DNA) – Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif reacted to the Nawaz Sharif-led GT Road ‘homecoming rally’ staged by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

He said that the historic welcome of Nawaz Sharif in different parts of Punjab has proved that he is still the most popular leader despite Supreme Court’s disqualification verdict on Panama case. People have seen the real face of those leaders who claim to bring change. “20 million people have given proof of their love for ex-PM,” he commented.

Shehbaz Sharif stressed that Nawaz Sharif strengthened the country s defence, helped speed up progress by quick completion of projects and represents the larger public mandate. He said the people have rejected corrupt entities of the past.

Tweeting about the demise of Dr Ruth Pfau, he said, “Really sorry to hear about Dr Ruth Pfau.. What an incredible life she lived in the service of suffering humanity! She will be dearly missed.”
