F 9 park to be made a modern park: CDA chief
ISLAMABAD, NOV 04 (DNA) – In line with the directions of Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz, F-9 Park would be developed into a model park as the park is situated at an ideal location due to its surroundings.
F-9 Park, which covers an entire sector, would be made a hub of healthy recreational and amusement facilities for the public in line with the directions of Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz.
These views were expressed by the Chief Officer of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, Muhammad Suleman Khan Warraich during his visit to F-9 Park here on Friday.
He visited the park on the directions of Mayor of Islamabad on receiving complaints from the citizens regarding unavailability of facilities and dilapidated condition of F-9. On this occasion officers of Environment Wing were also present.
Chief Officer of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, Muhammad Suleman Khan Warraich expressed his displeasure over the accumulation of sewerage water in certain area of the park as well as wild bushes and grass on both sides of the walking track and directed the concerned formations to take immediate measures for removal of shrubs and wild grass.
He also directed the formations concerned for ensuring proper cleanliness and plantation of flowering plants. He said that in line with the directions of Mayor of Islamabad / Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz, a comprehensive plan has been chalked out for up-gradation parks in the Federal Capital and provision of basic facilities in these parks, so that the visitors could enjoy all available recreational facilities. He added that this plan would be implemented phase wise.
He said that recently installed solar plant by the Chinese Government, would formally be inaugurated by the Mayor of Islamabad / Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz within a few days. After installation of solar plant, he added that sufficient light would be available for the visitors in F-9 Park.
Chief Officer of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, Muhammad Suleman Khan Warraich also visited and inspected different spots for establishment of latest cycling track for the cyclists in the park, adding that in the light of directions of Mayor of Islamabad / Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz, modern cycling tracks would be established.
Chief Officer of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, Muhammad Suleman Khan Warraich directed the Director F-9 Park for arrangement of proper security system and further directed him for placement of complaint boxes at different locations where the visitors could lodge their complaints and valuable suggestions for improvement of facilities in the park.
He directed the concerned formations to work out suggestions for charging those visitors with fine for damaging the plants and other installed facilities in park to control the damages. =DNA
