COAS awarded with most prestigious Jordanian medal of merit

AMMAN, 25 APR, (DNA) – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif received the most prestigious Jordanian medal of merit for remarkable courage in leading Pakistan Army that is battling multiple treats especially terrorism.
The medal was awarded to him at an exclusive ceremony in Jordan Monday.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the army chief was awarded with the most prestigious Jordanian medal for his efforts to counter multiple challenges and for bringing regional peace.
The Director General (DG) of ISPR Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa said, on his arrival at Jordan on two-day official visit, the Army Chief was received by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Jordanian Armed Forces, General Mashal Al-Zaben and Chief of Royal Jordanian Air Force, Major General Mansour AlJobour.
During his visit, Army Chief met Jordanian Prince El Hassan bin Talal, civil and military leadership. Jordanian Joint Chief Of Staff General Mashal Al-Zaben and Chief of Royal Jordanian Air Force Major General Mansour Al Jabour, welcomed COAS on his arrival to Jordan.
Regional security and defence cooperation related matters were discussed in the meeting. General Sharif has been awarded with the highest honour of Jordan in appreciation of his struggle to cope with numerous challenges and efforts for peace and stability in the region. =DNA
