Australian high commissioner Margaret Adamson greets Pak nation on Eid
ISLAMABAD, SEPT 12 (DNA) -On the occasion of Eid ul Adha, the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Margaret Adamson has greeted the Pakistani nation. In her message on Monday she said, “I am delighted to send my best wishes to everyone celebrating Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan, to those celebrating in Australia and across the world.
“Eid al Adha’s themes of reflection, sacrifice and charity seem more relevant each year given the global challenges we face. These values of tolerance, compassion and generosity towards one another are reflected in the generosity that Muslims all over the world, including the Pakistani community in Australia, have shown over the years. Over 40,000 Pakistanis are currently living in Australia and around 16,000 Pakistani students are studying in Australian universities. They are contributing significantly towards making Australia a prosperous and successful multicultural society. These people to people ties and the shared heritage between our two countries form the basis of our firm bonds with Pakistan. “Aap sab ko bohat bohat Eid Mubarak!”=DNA
