Army Chief vows to make Karachi terror free
KARACHI, 27 JAN (DNA) – The Army Chief General Raheel Sharif Wednesday commended the intelligence agencies for achieving major breakthroughs in unearthing various terrorists networks in their bid to dismantle terror infrastructure and sever their linkages with terrorists cells and bases outside Karachi.
He was speaking during his visit to the Corps Headquarters Karachi where he chaired a special security meeting, the ISPR said. The COAS vowed to go to any length for a secure and terror free Karachi to ensure a peaceful and fearless routine daily life for people of Karachi
The COAS appreciated Rangers and other law enforcement agencies for their successes in improving security environment. Corps Commander, DG ISI, DG MI, DG Rangers were present. He was briefed in detail regarding the ongoing Karachi operation including intelligence based operation. DNA
