Alibaba taking initiatives to tap Pakistan’s e-commerce potential

BEIJING, April  29 (DNA): Alibaba in the recent past has taken multiple initiatives to tap Pakistan’s unexplored e-commerce potential. The Chinese e-commerce firm has now partnered with Enablers Global Service to facilitate its sellers within Pakistan, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.

Enablers, the largest ecommerce network in Pakistan has signed the contract as global service partnership with Alibaba, a Chinese tech giant specialising in e-commerce, retail, internet, and technology.

This has been considered a huge development for Pakistan where another door will open for Pakistan’s e-commerce industry. After this collaboration, Enablers will facilitate sellers of Alibaba within Pakistan to help boost their sales.

Live commerce in China has been super successful because of the infrastructure built by e-commerce enablers like Alibaba.

Previously Alibaba enabled access for the Pakistani businesses, allowing them to list their stores, to sell their products to B2B buyers around the globe.

Pakistan is the 5th most populous country in the world, with the percentage of youth standing at 64%. These statistics clearly prove that Pakistan is a gold mine that can provide a great source of income for e-commerce entrepreneurs.

The Internet has penetrated deeply into the heart of Pakistan. As of January 2021, there were over 61 million Internet users in Pakistan, an increase of  11 million users from the previous year.

All this makes Pakistan a fertile ground for the growth and development of e-commerce.
