Despite losing the battle, Sindh govt decides to continue the war
The participants of the meeting were informed that Khawaja was appointed the IGP on an own-pay scale (OPS) basis in March 2016.
However, the Supreme Court has discontinued postings through the OPS system, compelling the Sindh government to return Khawaja’s services to Centre. It was decided that Dasti, a grade 22 officer, will be appointed the new police chief.
