Belarus, Pakistan discuss trade, economic cooperation

ISLAMABAD, OCT 11 (DNA) – Prospects for the development of trade and economic cooperation were high on the agenda of a meeting between Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Yermolovich and Pakistani Minister for Commerce and Textile Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The parties noted the importance of continuing the work towards increasing the bilateral trade to $1 billion by 2020.
The most promising areas of bilateral cooperation are agriculture, textiles and pharmaceutics. During the meeting the parties discussed the preparations for the 5th session of the joint Belarus-Pakistan commission on trade and economic cooperation due in Grodno on 16-17 November, 2017.
An agreement was reached to hold the second session of the joint working group on industrial cooperation on the sidelines of the Grodno event.=DNA
