Gen. Raheel Sharif visits frontline troops in Haji Pir Sector
Rawalpindi, October 9, 2016: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Raheel Sharif visited frontlines troops deployed along the line of control (LOC) in Haji Pir Sector today [Sunday].
COAS Gen. Raheel was given detailed briefing by the local formation commander on operational preparedness of the units and formation.
Speaking on the occasion , Gen. Raheel showed his complete satisfaction over high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by troops along the LOC.
Earlier on arrival, COAS General Raheel Sharif was received by the Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal.
Gen. Raheel Sharif visited Rangers HQ
On Friday Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif had visited Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Headquarters.
Talking to the officers and soldiers of Punjab Rangers, COAS appreciated the high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by troops along the Working Boundary and International Border.
He also laid floral wreath at Shuhada Memorial to pay homage to Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) martyrs who rendered supreme sacrifices for the defence of motherland. Army Chief was received by Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali, Commander Lahore Corps.
