IMF commends cooperation b/w US, China on sustainable finance

NEWYORK: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has commended cooperation between the United States and China on sustainable finance under the Group of 20. In an interview with a Chinese news agency, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said the two largest economies cooperating on sustainable finance is a very positive step in a world that is undergoing transformation because of climate risks.


Commander Pakistan Navy Karachi calls on Sindh CM

KARARCHI: Commander Pakistan Navy Karachi Rear Admiral Owais Ahmed Bilgrami called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Thursday. WASHINGTON: The United States on Thursday imposed a broad array of sanctions on Russia, including curbs to its sovereign debt market, to punish it for interfering in last year’s U.S. election, cyber-hacking, bullying Ukraine and other alleged “malign” actions.
