PM announces Rs500n for Gilgit-Baltistan flood-affectees

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday announced Rs500 million to help rehabilitate flood-affectees in Gilgit-Baltistan. The premier reviewed ongoing relief activities in flood-hit areas in Gilgit-Baltistan while local authorities briefed him on damages caused by floods. Addressing flood-affectees in Ganche, PM Nawaz also announced Rs500,000 as compensation for the heirs of those who lost their lives in the floods, Rs150,000 each for the injured and 250,000 to be allocated for reconstruction of houses damaged.
