Yemen embassy says no war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen
ISLAMABAD, OCT 26 (DNA) -The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Islamabad has made it clear that there was no war going on between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
This grave mistake misinforms the public and entails wrong conclusions and biased stances, says an embassy handout.
The war in Yemen broke out as a result of a Coup d’etat perpetrated by Iran-backed Militia (Houthi Militia) against the the Yemeni state and people. This Militia through violence seized state’s institutions, confiscated public wealth to support their sectarian project, and violated the rights of Yemeni People.
The legitimate Government of the Republic of Yemen, in order to safeguard the Yemeni people from the henious acts of the Houthi Militia, called for the assistance of Saudi Arabia and Friendly countries to restore the state and end the Coup d’etat.
The Yemeni people and Government along with their allies in the Coalition led by Saudi Arabia are standing side by side against the destructive sectarian project of the Houthi Militia.
The Government of the Republic of Yemen led by H.E. President Hadi spared no effort to peacefully end the war according to agreed upon references locally, regionally and internationally, including UNSC resolutions (particularly UNSC Resolution no. 2216).
However, the Houthi Militia rejected all peace initiatives and continue waging war against the Yemeni people.
The Coalition led by the brotherly Saudi Arabia continue aslo to exert tremendous efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people by all available means including humanitarian assiatance and development projects. =DNA
