U.N urges United States to remove Iran sanctions
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged United States to remove sanctions on Iran as agreed in 2015.
In a report to the U.N. Security Council, he also asked the United States to extend the waivers with regard to the trade in oil with Iran, and fully renew waivers for nuclear non-proliferation projects.
Guterres said full restoration of the plan remains the best way to ensure that the nuclear programme of Iran remains exclusively peaceful.
