Trump gives Hamas until Sunday evening to accept Gaza plan
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump gave Hamas until 6 pm on Sunday, Washington, D.C., time, to accept his plan for Gaza, warning that failure to do so would bring unprecedented devastation on the group.
Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday: “An agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time. Every Country has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas.”
He said on Tuesday that he would give Hamas three to four days to accept a 20-point document that demands the group disarm. A source close to Hamas said on Wednesday that the group was reviewing the proposal.

The plan called for an immediate ceasefire, the exchange of all hostages held by Hamas for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, a staged Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the disarmament of Hamas and the introduction of a transitional government led by an international body.
Trump urged innocent Palestinians to move to safe areas of Gaza and said the deal would preserve the lives of remaining Hamas fighters provided all hostages were released.
He also said the great nations of the Middle East had agreed to establish peace with the US and Israel after 3,000 years and that peace would be achieved regardless of the circumstances.
Trump said Hamas had a final opportunity and was surrounded. ‘We know who you are and where you are,’ he wrote. ‘You will be hunted down and killed.’
