Three sisters drown in Indus
BISHAM, JUN 05 (DNA) – In a tragic incident, three sisters were swept away by Indus River in Dasu area of Kohistan. The local community, volunteers and rescue services were still trying to recover the bodies late the other day.
The family of the deceased told the Dasu police that the three sisters, aged 12 to 16
years had gone to the river to get relief from the heat.
They were playing in the shallow water when one of them was swept away by a strong current, police said quoting the family sources. The other two sisters jumped into the river to save their sibling, but they were also carried away by the gushing water.
A rescue operation is underway to recover bodies of the victims.
