Three die in gun attack on PML-N leader in Ferozwala

SHEIKHUPURA, APR 03, (DNA) – Province of Punjab has recently witnessed rising number of attacks on political leaders and workers, in another assault, at least three people were killed when a rival group
opened indiscriminate fire at a vehicle of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Imran Dogar in Ferozwala in the wee hours of Monday.
Two gunmen and a passerby killed in result of the shooting attack. However, PML-N leader and son of former Nazim Imran Dogar remained safe in the firing incident.
Emergency teams and police personnel reached on the spot and shifted dead and injured to a nearby hospital.
Police sources said that investigation of the incident has been underway.
Last month, a former Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) ticket-holder Babar Sohail Butt was gunned down when unknown armed miscreants stormed into his house and opened straight firing at him.
An MNA of PML-N Shoukat Butt was nominated in the FIR along with Atif alias Aati and Irfan Jutt
Later, police claimed to have arrested key accused Atif Jutt in the murder case the PPP leader.
Earlier, in another firing incident, PPP leader Shaukat Basra was injured while his secretary killed when unknown armed men targeted the party camp in Haroonabad area of Punjab.=DNA
