Team Manager puts blame on Afridi for T20 debacle
LAHORE/KARACHI, April 01 (NA): Pakistan Team Manager Intikhab Alam has said submitted a report to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stating that Shahid Afridi is an absolutely clueless.
According to reports, the report is hugely critical of Afridi’s role as a T20 captain, although it gives a clean chit to coach Waqar Younis saying that coaching and support staff performed their duties “most diligently”.
In the report, team manager Intikhab Alam criticises Afridi’s on-field tactics and off-field leadership during the World T20.
Intikhab is critical of Umar Akmal’s return to the T20 team, and said Ahmed Shehzad was “equally poor.” However, he hails Mohammad Amir’s bowling.
The report comes two days after Pakistan cricket team’s head coach Waqar Younis slammed cricket board for ‘leaking’ confidential report to media.
Waqar had submitted his confidential report to PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan after the national team’s exit in the ongoing T20 World Cup in India. The report, however, was got leaked to the media. DNA
