SSP Jaffarabad allegedly commits suicide in office
JAFFARBAD, 16 MAY (DNA) – Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jahanzaib Khan Kakar allegedly committed suicide inside his office in Jaffarabad district of Balochistan on Monday morning.
According to sources, Jahanzaib Kakar was speaking on a phone when he placed a 9mm pistol on his head and pulled the trigger. Soon after the incident, Deputy Commission Jaffarabad Javed Anwar Shahwani and Naseerabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sharjeel Kharal arrived at the scene.
SSP Kakar’s office was sealed and his mobile phone and pistol was taken into custody. Police told that investigation into the incident is underway. SSP’s body will be sent back to his native area in Quetta after autopsy at District Headquarters Dera Allahyar. He was appointed as SSP Jaffarabad in March 2016. DNA
