SC rejects NAB plea to reopen Hudaibiya Paper Mills case

ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Supreme Court (SC) on Friday has turned down the plea of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to reopen Hudaibiya Paper Mills case against Sharif family.
The reserved decision was read out by Justice Mushir Alam while he was also joined by Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel.
Chiding accountability bureau lawyer, Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that the documents on which NAB wants to reopen the case is not attached with the petition, adding “We are hearing the plea, not reference.
On September 20, NAB filed a petition in SC to nullify the decision of Lahore High Court (LHC) to shut Hudaibiya Paper Mills case, clearing Sharifs. The apex court, after hearing the plea, declared it inadmissible as it has got expired.
