Karachi: Festival celebrates Japanese culture
KARACHI, DEC 15 (DNA) – A Japanese festival to mark 65 years of Pak-Japan relations was held at a hotel in Karachi. Organised by the Consulate General of Japan, the colourful event featuring an exhibition of Japanese art as well as music, spellbound the visitors.
The aim of the festival was to provide Pakistanis with an opportunity to learn about Japanese culture.
Featuring ikebana – the traditional Japanese floral arrangement, origami – Japan’s traditional paper-art, and a display of Japan’s bonsai trees, a Japanese art exhibition was also part of the event.
