ISLAMABAD, MAY 29 (DNA) Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Nawaf Saeed Al-Malkiy hosted an iftar dinner, which was attended by prominent religions scholars, diplomats, parliamentarians, members of civil society and media persons.

Renowned scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel also attended the reception and led the Mughrab payers.

Saudi embassy hosts iftars every year thus providing an opportunity to the Pakistani community to interact with officials from the embassy as well diplomats from other missions and vice versa.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy excellent relations that are growing with each passing day. Saudi Arabia has announced to appoint an economic attaché in Pakistan, which is important in the sense that there has never been an economic attaché in the Saudi embassy.

This appointment speaks volumes for the Saudi interest in Pakistani markets and desire to strengthen and promote economic relations with Pakistan.

The business community of Pakistan too has welcomed the decision of appointing an economic attaché and hoped this step would further boost trade ties between the two brotherly countries. =DNA
