ISLAMABAD, JULY 03 (DNA) – Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday lashed out at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insf (PTI) government over denying the family of incarcerated PML-N Punjab president Rana Sanaullah permission to meet him in jail.

Speaking to the media, he questioned if this is the State of Madina the prime minister brags about. “Rana Sanaullah’s wife kept standing outside the prison but was not allowed meeting with her husband,” lamented the PML-N president

After meeting with the family of arrested PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah, Shehbaz Sharif said everyone knows case against Rana Sanaullah is fake and baseless. He said the whole party stands behind him at this crucial time.

Sharif said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s worst thinking and tactics have unfolded before them. He said PM Imran after taking the oath started calling opposition thieves and liars, adding that the situation would have been much better if PM had tried to solve national issues in these eleven months.

“Don’t play with the life of the MNA, Allah Almighty won’t forgive you,” he advised, adding, “Imran Khan’s and [Adolf] Hitler’s thinking is the same.”

The Opposition leader in National Assembly said Rana Sanaullah is not given water and food during judicial remand. He demanded medical facilities for PML-N leader, adding that Imran Khan would be responsible if something happened to Rana Sanaullah,

He said Rana Sanaullah’s wife told me that Rana Sanaullah’s eyesight is being affected. He said even a common prisoner is not deprived of basic facilities.

Shahbaz Sharif demanded that Rana Sanullah be provided with essential medicine and alleged the government is pursuing one-point agenda of carrying out witch-hunt of the opposition PML-N.

PML-N leaders are put behind bars every day by instituting cases against them, he said, claiming that the party is being targeted.

Today no one is eager to invest in Pakistan due to this economic crisis, said Shehbaz. He added that Pakistani currency was devalued after the instructions from IMF.

He accused that Aleema Khan took her properties to foreign countries, questioning whether bringing properties to the country or moving outside is a crime.

Responding to a question, he said my elder brother and son are in jail and the whole agenda of this government is against PML-N. He said Rehbar Committee would decide about the protest.

 Talking on the occasion, PML-N senior vice president Shahid Khaqan Abbasi termed cases against Rana Sanaullah fake and said Rana Sanaullah faced dictatorship of Zia and Musharaf in past and he will face dictatorship of Imran Khan know. = DNA
