Romania keen to expand cultural ties with Pakistan: Emilian ION
LAHORE, NOV 12: Ambassador of Romania Emilian ION has said his country was keen to promote cultural and education links with Pakistan. He said, Romania was thinking to re-launch scholarship program for Pakistani students.The Romanian ambassador expressed these views during a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of Punjab University. The Ambassador was accompanied by former education minister Mian Imran Masood and Romanian Consul General in Lahore Usman Pirzada.
The Romanian ambassador further said in past Romania used to offer scholarship to Pakistani students for higher studies and is very keen to revive these educational links.
He added, Romania had huge potential in business sector also. He invited Pakistani investors to come to Romania and explore business opportunities.
Ambassador Emilian further said cultural cooperation between the two countries was also increasing with each passing day. He said he will soon bring a cultural troupe from Romania to perform in Pakistan.=DNA
