Qureshi meets Foreign Minister of U.A.E. on the sidelines of UN General Assembly Session
NEW YORK, (DNA) – Foreign Minister, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of U.A.E., Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan today in New York.
The Foreign Minister discussed with the Foreign Minister of U.A.E. the grave human rights and humanitarian situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJ&K).
Foreign Minister Qureshi emphasized the need for immediately lifting of the curfew and restoration of the fundamental rights of the Kashmiris.
He said that the unilateral and illegal actions by India in IOJ&K posed a grave risk to regional peace and security, and urged the international community to play its role in preventing any further escalation of the situation.
The two sides also reviewed and expressed satisfaction at their existing bilateral relations. They reiterated their commitment to further strengthening them. International and regional developments also came under discussion during the meeting.=DNA
