MIANWALI, OCT 28 (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is to hold a public meeting on Saturday in the home constituency of party chief Imran Khan.
All arrangements have been finalised at the venue to host participants and party workers, the organizers said.
As many as ten thousand chairs have been placed for the attendees, party sources said. The venue of the public meeting has been decorated with party flags and posters.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other key party leaders will address the gathering.
The PTI chief, in his address, is expected to share his views on recent political developments including graft references against the Sharif family members and disposal of contempt proceedings against him.
In an apparent move to garner support for the upcoming general elections in 2018, the PTI leaders have accelerated their activism in the interior Sindh lately.
PTI chief Imran Khan on Friday held a public gathering in Upper Dir city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a brief video message, Khan has urged the public to take part in the gathering. “Insha’Allah on Saturday (Oct 28), I will be coming to my city [Mianwali] to hold a ‘mega’ public meeting,” the PTI chairman said.
“Your presence in [the] gathering is highly significant for holding another historic public gathering in Mianwali after three years following the Panama scandal,” Khan added.
