PTI to end boycott of standing committees of NA

PTI won't attend joint-session of parliament on Nov 17

ISLAMABAD,NOV 27, (DNA) -Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has ended boycott of the standing committees of the National Assembly, but the boycott of the session of parliament still remain enforced.

Chairman Imran Khan, during a meeting at his Bani Gala residence,  consultated over the issue and decided to allow members of the party to attend the meetings of standing committees of the National Assembly.

The party is already attending meetings of the standing committees of the Senate. It had boycott the NA until the case until a decision on the case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  in the Supreme Court over Panama Papers is reached.

The party also discussed the overall political situation in the country, particularly the Panama Papers case in the Supreme Court, the next hearing of which will occur on November 29. The meeting consulted over the evidence gathered against the alleged corruption of the Sharif family.

Imran Khan also examined a documentary film exposing the alleged corruption of the Sharif family and their contradictory statements,  and decided to submit it as supporting evidence in the Supreme Court.=DNA
