Progress stopped by disqualifying Nawaz, opines Maryam Nawaz
LAHORE, SEPT 02 (DNA) – While her address to the Christian minority community, Maryam Nawaz prayed for the good health of her mother and praised her ‘brothers and sisters for supporting PML-N in NA-120 constituency time and again’.
Ex-PM Nawaz Sharif’s daughter arrived at Lahore’s St. Anthony s Church on Friday where she repeated that her father is fighting for the people of Pakistan and it is not his personal fight, stressing that he was disqualified which resulted in stopping the country’s wheel of progress. “Nawaz Sharif delivered whether he got two years or four,” she stated.
She condemned attacks on mosques and other places for players, saying such attacks occurred often before their government. Maryam Nawaz expressed solidarity with the Christian community and recalled their services for the country, in addition to the support for PML-N.
Talking to the minority leaders, she claimed PML-N government in the centre ended power outages as well as terrorism from the country. Criticising the Supreme Court verdict against her father, she maintained that Nawaz Sharif was not ousted on corruption or kickbacks. She asked people to vote for change, reforms in judicial system, stability and democracy. People will respond to the Panama case verdict on September 17 as they did during GT Road rally, she added.
