QUETTA: President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will change the destiny of Balochistan which was termed a diamond by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The President was addressing a ceremony in connection with Quaid-e-Azam Day, said that people and particularly the Baloch youth have played a pivotal role in the freedom struggle of Pakistan.

“Balochistan was termed a diamond by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” he said.

The President stressed that not even a single inch was changed in the route of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, and the project will protect the interests of people in every part of the country including Balochistan.

He said the performance of students of Balochistan particularly female students is highly appreciable in different competitive exams in the country. He urged the students to follow in the footsteps of the Quaid-e-Azam.=DNA
