Police shoot at fleeing car near Peshawar Motorway toll plaza

PESHAWAR, FEB 19, (DNA) – Policemen opened fire on a suspicious vehicle on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway today (Sunday) after the driver tried to escape from the scene.
Reportedly, police tried to stop a white Corolla XLI bearing number plate PJ 0061 at toll plaza near Peshawar but the driver didn’t pay heed to the police signal and sped away.
Police resorted to firing as the vehicle coming from Swabi took u-turn towards Islamabad.
The vehicle took exit from Marati interchange as two police vehicles chased it. A suspect was arrested on the service as he left the car.
Search is underway for other suspects.=DNA
