PM to present stance on opposition allegations in parliament: Rashid

ISLAMABAD, 14 MAY (DNA) – Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would present his stance about the opposition allegations in the parliament on Monday.
In an interview; he said some opposition parties are trying to mislead the nation through telling lies.
To a question, he said that Supreme Court has given some guidelines for formation of the terms of reference and the Prime Minister will present this viewpoint in the National Assembly. He said that Prime Minster will also make announcement for talks with the opposition in the Parliament.
The Minister said that the government included all TORs related to opposition allegations, but they do not want investigation but politicize the issue.
He urged that there is need to adopt the path of truth in all segments of the society and instead of telling lies focus should be on ending the miseries of the people.
He said that the country is facing many problems like lack of educational facilities, clean drinking water, and energy crisis and there are tensions on the borders. He said due to negative politics the government is finding it difficult to fully focus on resolution of real problems.
He said that a section of the media has been airing baseless allegations against the government, but the government has not taken any action which may be interpreted as effort to curb the freedom of expression.
He asked the opposition to respect the sanctity of the Supreme Court and avoid issuing controversial statements.DNA
